The Ornament Sessions
During the ornament session we will be creating unique hand blown art glass ornaments. There are many names for this style of glass decoration: suncatchers, witches balls, kugles. Typically, the ornament is a three inch diameter ball with a loop on top for hanging.
Individuals will have the opportunity to choose from a variety of glass colors to adorn their creations. Each member of the group will create their ornament using 2000 degree molten glass. It takes seven to ten minutes to make a piece so be sure to allot a good amount of time when you schedule your group session.
Call the studio 405-601-2583 or email Andy Boatman [email protected] to schedule an ornament session. We are pretty flexible on scheduling but available time slots fill up quickly. We recommend booking at least two to three weeks in advance, during the Christmas season we fill up quickly. Plan ahead and start booking in September or October. There is a cost $35 for each blown glass ornament created.
Feel free to bring some snacks and drinks and have a party while you are at the studio.
For families, everyone is able to participate. Keep an eye on the little ones as it is a hot glass studio so there are plenty of breakables around. When we are working one also has to assume that everything is hot. Cotton clothing and closed toe shoes (tennis shoes) are recommended. A bottle of water is also a good idea.
